1. General
Everything on scoreline.co.za is published for general information. It is journalism about sport, and it is not professional, legal, financial, medical or betting advice. Read it, enjoy it, and do not treat it as a basis for a decision that matters to your money or your health.
2. Scores, fixtures and results
We take accuracy seriously and we correct errors openly. Even so:
- Live and recent scores may lag the action or be provisional until the result is officially confirmed.
- Kick-off times, venues, broadcast details and fixture lists change, sometimes at short notice.
- Log positions, points, squads and team news reflect the best information we had at the time of publishing.
- Results can change after the fact through disciplinary rulings, appeals or administrative decisions.
For an official record, use the relevant governing body: FIFA, CAF, SAFA, the PSL, SA Rugby or Cricket South Africa.
3. No betting advice
ScoreLine publishes no betting tips, predictions offered as advice, odds or gambling guidance, and we do not partner with gambling brands.
Nothing on this Site should be used as a basis for placing a wager. We accept no responsibility for any loss suffered by anybody who bets on the strength of something they read here. Gambling in South Africa is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. If gambling is causing you harm, the National Responsible Gambling Programme counselling line is 0800 006 008.
4. Transfers and speculation
Transfer reporting is, by its nature, a moving target. Where we report a transfer story we tell you who is reporting it and how firm it is. A story labelled as a rumour or as a single-source report is exactly that. Deals collapse, medicals fail, and clubs deny things that turn out to be true.
5. Advertising
ScoreLine is free to read because advertising pays for it.
- Advertisements on the Site are served by Google AdSense and its partners. They are selected automatically, not chosen by our editors, and they may be matched to your interests depending on your cookie choice.
- An advertisement’s appearance here is not an endorsement. We do not vet advertisers’ products, services or claims.
- Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. We are not a party to it and we are not responsible for it.
- If an advertisement on our Site is offensive, misleading or inappropriate, tell us at hello@scoreline.co.za with a screenshot and we will block it.

6. Sponsored content and partnerships
Where content is paid for, we label it clearly at the top of the article, in the article’s title area, in one of these forms:
- Sponsored, where a third party paid for the article
- Partner content, where the article was produced with a commercial partner
- Advertorial, where the advertiser supplied the copy
Sponsored content never carries an ordinary editorial byline and is never presented as independent reporting. Our editorial coverage is not for sale, and a commercial relationship buys no influence over what we report elsewhere on the Site. This is set out in our Editorial and Corrections Policy.
7. Affiliate links
Some links may earn us a commission if you click them and buy something. Where an article contains affiliate links we say so in the article. The commission costs you nothing extra and never determines what we recommend or how we rate anything.
8. Third-party sites
We link out to official bodies, other publications and other sources so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they handle your information.
9. Trade marks and affiliation
Club names, badges, competition names and logos belong to their owners and appear here for the purpose of reporting on sport. ScoreLine is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any club, league, federation or governing body mentioned on the Site.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published on this Site. This is set out more fully in our Terms of Use. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
